The Longxu expansion and reconstruction project is an important part of the main railway channel of the western land-sea new corridor, and it is also the main southbound freight channel for the development strategy of "synchronization of the four modernizations, urban-rural integration, and co-prosperity of the five districts" determined by the Second Plenary Session of the 12th Sichuan Provincial Party Committee.

The girder erection conditions of the Longxu section expansion and reconstruction project of the Longhuang Railway are complex, and it has crossed the existing lines, national highways and high-speed rail lines many times. In order to ensure the safe and orderly progress of the paving project, the project team has successively invested 2 beam erection machines in combination with the characteristics of the line, and adopted the "two-machine two-way" collaborative operation mode to efficiently promote the construction progress under the premise of strengthening safety production control.

After the completion of the project, it will be connected to the Xuyong-Bijie railway, forming a land-sea intermodal transport artery directly connected to the Beibu Gulf in southern Sichuan, which is not only of great significance for promoting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, but also provides strong transportation support for Sichuan's integration into the national "Belt and Road" construction.
