Chinese don't love foreign luxury cars anymore? Porsche fell 17% and closed down 0%

If anyone who pays attention to cars knows that in the past, Porsche was the representative of the top luxury cars in the Chinese market, and those who could afford to buy a Porsche must be rich.

Under Porsche, there are three major brands, BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz, which are positioned lower than Porsche, but they are also first-line luxury brands, one notch higher than second-tier brands, such as Volvo and Cadillac.

Next, there are ordinary joint venture brands such as Volkswagen and Toyota, and then there are domestic cars.

There is no doubt that the cars of the past were divided into three, six, nine and so on, and the domestic cars were the lowest.

However, with the rise of domestic new energy vehicles, the division method of 369 has completely failed, and China's auto market has undergone a round of reshuffle, especially these luxury brands, which are becoming less and less popular in China.

A few days ago, Porsche announced the sales volume in the Chinese market, in the first quarter, Porsche delivered only 42 new cars in China, a decline of 0%, creating a history of decline.

Recently, BMW also announced its sales in the Chinese market, with sales of 17,0 units, a year-on-year decline of up to 0%.

Interestingly, both Porsche and BMW have the worst performance in the Chinese market, especially BMW, which has grown in almost all other markets around the world.

Why don't Chinese love luxury cars anymore? I think it has something to do with the concept of consumption, the progress of China's automobiles, and the social environment.

In the past, the economic environment was not particularly good, a car accounted for a large proportion of family assets, and people who could afford to buy a car, especially those who could afford luxury cars, must be wealthy, so everyone had to use a car to save face.

But now, it's different, the proportion of cars in family assets has been greatly reduced, and many people can afford luxury cars, so there is no need for so-called luxury cars to support the façade, and the change in consumption concepts will definitely affect the sales of luxury cars.

Secondly, most of the luxury cars are fuel vehicles, and in the Chinese market, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles is more than 2%, and for every 0 cars sold, at least one is a new energy vehicle, so as a luxury car of fuel vehicles, it will definitely be affected.

In addition, to put it bluntly, all the current luxury cars, whether they are Porsche or B B A, are completely incomparable with domestic cars in terms of intelligence, and then they are much worse in terms of configuration and comfort.

Therefore, more and more people, especially younger people, really don't love luxury cars, and only older people are still obsessed with luxury cars.

In this way, luxury cars in China must become more and more difficult to sell, unless they can also be compared with domestic cars in terms of intelligence, comfort, configuration, etc.

But if these come up and the price of luxury cars goes up again, they will also not be liked by young people, so the decline of foreign luxury cars in the Chinese market is inevitable, which is the inevitability of the times.
