The relevant person in charge of the National Agricultural Technology Center said that the first batch of certified seeds on the market is an important milestone in the completion and implementation of China's seed certification system, and with the promotion and application of more high-quality certified seeds, it will play an important supporting role in promoting the high-quality development of China's seed industry and promoting the large-scale yield improvement of grain and oil crops.

"Seed certification is a standardized quality assurance system that aims at high-quality seeds and emphasizes process management, which is confirmed by the certification body and issued by a certificate and logo to prove that a certain batch of seeds meets the requirements of the corresponding regulations." According to the relevant person in charge of the National Agricultural Technology Center, seed certification is known as the "letter of credit" of good seeds, the "physical examination certificate" of seed enterprises, and the "pass" of international trade.

檢驗結果表明，獲得認證的種子質量有顯著提升，發芽率、純度指標均高於國家標準。以玉米種子為例，根據對已開展扡樣、檢驗的認證種子的分析，認證玉米種子平均發芽率97%，純度98.6%，與國家種子質量標準相比，認證種子發芽率提升4%，純度提升1.6%。
