今年“廣西三月三”假期為3月29日至4月1日，清明小長假為4月4日至6日，由於兩個假期相鄰較近，今年“雙節”鐵路運輸期限為3月28日至4月7日，持續11天，國鐵南寧局客流以旅遊探親、返鄉祭祖為主。據預測，“廣西三月三”運輸期限預計發送旅客368萬人，清明運輸期限預計發送280萬人。節日期間，國鐵南寧局重聯或加開1000余趟旅客列車，服務旅客節日出行。

“廣西三月三”、清明節是繼今年春運后的又一出行高峰期，不少旅客選擇攜家帶口出行，其中60歲以上的“老年團”也不在少數。為更好地滿足老年旅客對美好旅行生活的嚮往，推出更多普惠措施增進老年人福祉，鐵路部門自4月1日起，在現行的“鐵路暢行”常旅客會員服務基礎上，對年滿60周歲持居民身份證、港澳居民居住證、臺灣居民居住證、港澳居民來往內地通行證、臺灣居民來往大陸通行證、外國人永久居留身份證的老年常旅客會員實施更大幅度的積分優惠，乘坐旅客列車（暫不含旅遊專列、國際列車）時將獲得票面金額15倍的積分，相當於普通常旅客會員的3倍，積分可兌換火車票。
