4月9日，由中國教育科學研究院培訓中心和21世紀報社共同發起，長沙市教育科學研究院聯合主辦，中報二十一世紀、教育科學出版社聯合承辦的英語教育“四季杏壇”長沙場活動在南雅中學成功舉辦。

This event focused on the theme of "Integrating Information Technology and Constructing a New Model of English Reading and Writing Teaching in Middle Schools", and discussed the theoretical construction and practical paradigm of English reading and writing combined teaching in the era of artificial intelligence through keynote reports, special reports, lesson observations, lecture sharing, etc.

Gong Yafu, researcher of the Chinese Academy of Education Sciences and chairman of the Foreign Language Teaching Committee of the Chinese Society of Education, Liu Xiaobin, deputy dean of the School of Foreign Chinese Language and Culture of South China Normal University and director of the Foreign Language Education Informatization Research Center, Zhu Bo, vice president of iFLYTEK AI Research Institute, Li Yu, middle school English teacher and researcher of Changsha Institute of Educational Sciences, Zhang Ling, middle school English teacher and researcher of Changsha Yuhua District Institute of Educational Sciences, and other experts in the field of English education attended the event and gave lectures.

Huang Junshan, President of Changsha Institute of Educational Sciences, He Chun, Director of Hunan Reporter Station of China Daily, Shuai Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Changsha Nanya Middle School, and other guests attended the opening ceremony of the event.

In his speech, Huang Junshan said that the "Four Seasons Xingtan" of English education is not only a platform for academic exchanges, but also an incubator for educational wisdom. In recent years, Changsha Academy of Education and Science has always been committed to promoting the reform of classroom teaching through the transformation of education and teaching. In terms of regional English education reform, we have jointly developed the "Smart Classroom English Lessons and Resource Library" with front-line teachers, and explored the "AI + hierarchical teaching" model based on provincial projects. Through the radiation of the "Famous Teacher's Studio", a group of young backbones with both theoretical depth and practical wisdom have been cultivated. He called on the participating teachers to embrace the opportunities and challenges brought by AI, and to be "courageous pioneers", "warm adherents" and "open-minded sharers".

In the lecture sharing session, Gong Yafu shared the topic of "Task-based Language Teaching in the AI Era", and deeply discussed how foreign language teachers in primary and secondary schools should face the changes and challenges in the future era of digital education, the key knowledge and abilities necessary for teachers, and how to learn new professional knowledge and abilities to adapt to foreign language teaching in the new era.

Liu Xiaobin gave a keynote report entitled "The Cultivation of Foreign Language Multiple Reading and Writing Ability of Middle School Students in the Era of Artificial Intelligence", introducing the cutting-edge academic achievements of the combination of artificial intelligence technology and English teaching from three aspects: multiple literacy ability and multimodal discourse, AI-empowered multiple reading and writing ability training, and public welfare multimodal teaching resource sharing.

Zhu Bo gave a special report entitled "The Latest Progress of Large Models and the Integrated Improvement of AI-empowered Language Teaching Evaluation" from three perspectives: the latest technological progress of artificial intelligence and large models, the analysis of deep reasoning models based on the chain of thought, and the empowerment of large models of educational cognition.

In the lesson demonstration session, teachers from well-known schools such as Yin Xiaodong and Chen Wanxin from Nanya Middle School in Changsha City, Xie Danyang from Beijing No. 11 School, and Hong Mei from Hangzhou Foreign Chinese School demonstrated a number of demonstration classes on the spot. The subsequent expert comments and special lectures focused on topics related to AI-empowered English classrooms, and further strengthened teachers' understanding of the implementation of intelligent teaching. In addition, Ge Min, the chief teacher of the Hunan Ge Min Junior High School English Famous Teacher Studio, and Huang Qiong, the chief teacher of the Hunan Huang Qiong High School English Famous Teacher Network Studio, and Zhou Kun, a member of the Hunan Huang Qiong High School English Famous Teacher Network Studio, systematically shared the practical experience of the integration of information technology and disciplines based on real teaching cases, and provided a school-based application plan that can be replicated and easy to make for front-line teachers.
