A few days ago, some media reported that stationery stores around a school on Chebei Street in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, sold syringe toys and had potential safety hazards. The Tianhe District Market Supervision Bureau attaches great importance to and acts quickly, organizes law enforcement forces to carry out verification and disposal as soon as possible, responds to social concerns with strong regulatory measures, and effectively guarantees the quality and safety of products around the campus.

After receiving the report, the Tianhe District Market Supervision Bureau organized law enforcement officers to carry out surprise inspections of two stationery stores in the Xujing community involved.

The law enforcement officers focused on checking the purchase channels, product quality and business qualifications of the toys involved, and did not find the syringe toys involved on sale at the scene, but confirmed that two stores (Chebei Shengjinzhi Stationery Store, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, and Chebei Time Stationery Store, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City) had sold syringe toys of unknown origin.

The law enforcement officers demanded on the spot that the merchants involved should immediately rectify the situation, stop selling the problematic products, and remove other toy products that would cause safety problems, such as spray bottle toys.

As of 9/0, law enforcement officers have conducted multiple inspections of the businesses involved and their surroundings to ensure that all the products involved are off the shelves.

After investigation, it was found that the syringe toys involved had no production date, quality certificate and other information, and the needle was sharp and could pierce the skin and flesh, which posed a serious safety hazard. In accordance with the Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China, the Tianhe District Market Supervision Bureau has opened an investigation into the two merchants involved and will trace the upstream supply chain of the problematic toys. At the same time, the bureau drew inferences from one case to another to carry out a special investigation of the shops around the campus in the district, focusing on the rectification of "three nos" toys and dangerous stationery. At present, the relevant cases are being handled in accordance with the law.

In the handling of this incident, the Tianhe District Market Supervision Bureau won praise from the masses with its work style of "responding at the first time, disposing of the first scene, and implementing the first responsibility". Mr. Zhu, a parent of the student, said: "The regulatory authorities acted quickly, and now the store no longer sells such dangerous products, and we have finally let go of our suspense. ”

In the next step, the bureau will continue to deepen the special rectification of product quality and safety around the campus, build a solid safety bottom line through "double random" inspections, smart supervision and other means, and escort the healthy growth of teenagers.
