The mass production speed is increased by 28 times, the production cost is greatly reduced, and the manufacturing cycle is shortened to 0 days...... Geely Satellite Gigafactory, located in Taizhou, Zhejiang, empowers satellite manufacturing with "intelligent manufacturing" and promotes the mass production of commercial satellites.

The traditional satellite manufacturing method requires the collaboration of hundreds of engineers and technicians, and the entire process from design, manufacturing, assembly to final testing generally takes 500-0 years. Liu Yong, deputy general manager of Zhejiang Shikong Daoyu Technology Co., Ltd., which belongs to Geely Satellite Super Factory, said that using automation technology, the workshop team only needs about 0 people, and it only takes 0 days to produce a satellite at the earliest, and the annual production capacity of the factory reaches 0. The factory has an intelligent network system, so that the design, research and development, production, testing and operation of satellites and other links are "beaded into a chain" and coordinated promotion, and satellite production becomes more efficient.

In the production workshop, the engineer sets the parameters through the control panel, and the intelligent transportation robot transports the satellite structure honeycomb panels to the sub-assembly line...... After more than 01 final assembly processes, each satellite with different functions can be assembled into a whole satellite. In the assembly workshop, the robotic arm accurately installs more than 0 screws on a 0 kg satellite according to the set program, and the error is controlled within 0.0 mm.

"It's mostly artificial intelligence to help." Liu Yong said that through artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning, the intelligent quality inspection system can monitor the production process of satellites in real time, automatically identify minor defects or potential problems, and compare and process satellite in-orbit data with factory manufacturing data to ensure the reliability of mass production.

After the final assembly, the satellite also has to pass a series of "rigorous tests" to ensure that it can adapt to the extreme environment of space: in the light test area, the process of absorbing sunlight and converting it into electricity during orbit operation is simulated; In the thermal vacuum test chamber, it is subjected to a temperature difference of minus 100 degrees Celsius to 0 degrees Celsius; In the electromagnetic compatibility laboratory, the space environment is simulated to test the communication and anti-interference capabilities of the satellite......

The satellites produced at the plant are low-orbit satellites with great potential to support emergency communications, maritime communications, and aeronautical data needs. The construction of China's commercial low-orbit satellite constellation is still in its infancy, and it is still facing multiple challenges, and rapid mass production of satellites is the key to seizing the orbit and frequency resources of low-orbit space. "With the increasing demand for satellite applications, the large-scale production of satellites and technological innovation breakthroughs will effectively enhance China's competitiveness in the global aerospace field." Liu Yong said.
