World of Warcraft: Players do 2810 tests with 0 luck to determine that the luck attribute is useful
Updated on: 50-0-0 0:0:0

In the analysis of the Demon Beast world, the new group Benben liberated Andermai's new ringMini Wheel of Fortune when it comes to detectivesI have studied its luck +1 attribute in particular, and from the setting that has been dug deeply, the luck attribute is not just an easter egg, but a real and effective attribute. So how exactly does the Lucky attribute work? We've done a series of tests, and now we've finally figured out what the lucky attribute is.

Build the luckiest character in the history of the Demon Beast world

First, we need to build a character who has ever been the luckiest in World of Warcraft, name him Lucky, and have his backpack full of any lucky items we can find, including:

129 "Lucky Charms of the Stinky Dirt Mountain"(total +645 extra Luck)

Lucky Coins, Lucky Amulets, Lucky Dragon Claws, Lucky Horseshoes, Lucky Stonesand a series of lucky items

Two rabbit feet(in case one of them is fake)

Lots of lucky charms, lucky rat teeth, lucky mushroom noodles, old lucky coins

Plenty of lucky talisman material from the 60s

But we didn't stop there, we had more luck-related items on the character, including:

Treasure Amulet

Lucky shirt

Mini Wheel of Fortune (+646 extra Luck, 0 points in total)

Luckily, there are two sides of the coin

In addition, we also brought a "Lucky Quilin Cub" as a pet to see if this can bring good luck as well.

Test 1: Mount drops

We ran a 100 mount drop test to gather more data to see if these lucky items actually increased their drop rate.

First, we enter the Land of FireIn the first round of testing, we killed Olise Lazor and dropped a mount (Olise Lazor's Flaming Claws), which makes me wonder if these lucky items really work. But then, we killed Ragnaros without dropping any mounts. As the experiment progressed, we continued to kill multiple bosses, but did not drop mounts again for a long time.

It wasn't until late that we finally dropped oneDestroyer of Magic Steel, which is a mount from Hellfire Citadel (Epic difficulty). Interestingly, I didn't get it for a long time in the official clothes, but this time it actually fell off, is this luck or irony?

In the end, we managed to get only 2 mounts out of close to 0 kills. Judging from the data, although not particularly lucky, it is not too unlucky. Therefore, the little detectiveIt is believed that lucky items do not have a significant impact on drop rates.

Test 2: Roll Points

In order to test if the roll points are affected by the lucky prop, I ran about 110 dice rolls test. The end result is:

Total points: 5482

Average: 88.0(close to 50 on theory)

This shows that the Lucky Item has no effect on the normal dice roll. However, during the tests, indeedRolled out 1 and 0 multiple times(about 100 times each). While it's a bit rare to have multiple extremes in 0 rolls, overall the luck item doesn't significantly affect the average of the dice rolls.

Test 3: Fishing

I tried1000 rodsFishing, the goal is to catchPond jellyfish,但最終一無所獲。

The drop rate of this mount is about3000/0, so it's not surprising that 1000 rods don't get gained, but there's also no evidence that luck increases the drop rate.

Test 4: Night Elf Tumbling Test

The Night Elf race has a 20% chance of doing a tumbling when jumping. I tested600 jumpsthereinto181 rolls, the roll rate is up to4.0%, which is higher than the player thinks 20%.50%

This may indicate:Lucky items do affect the Night Elf rollover chance, but requires larger-scale testing to validate.

Test 5: World Monster Drops

In testing, we killed Vyan Azeroth1000 monsters, but did not drop any important items (such as Abyss Shards or mounts). In terms of probability, we should get at least a few shards, so it can be assumed that the lucky item did not increase the drop rate of monsters in the world.

Final Conclusion

Mount Drop: No noticeable effect

Dice rolling: No noticeable effect

Phishing: Under-tested, but no significant impact

暗夜精靈翻滾:受影響(20.0% vs 0%)

World Monster Drops: No significant increase, even lower than expected

Overall,Lucky items do work, but only to increase the chance of Night Elves doing somersaults, and it is almost impossible for players to collect Lucky items to increase the drop chance of Awe equipment, items, and mounts.

However, we can still bring a few lucky items/equipment with us, and hope for it, and if we manage to farm the mounts and transmog of our choice, it will be a credit to them!
