At four o'clock in the morning, in Dongsheng Farm, Xintian, Hunan, dozens of cold chain logistics vehicles were neatly arranged. Workers quickly loaded boxes of cabbage sums and milk cabbage labelled "vegetables for Hong Kong" onto trucks. "This batch of vegetables departs in the early morning, can arrive in Hong Kong at noon, and can enter the supermarket in the evening." Liu Wenzheng, a young entrepreneur who returned to his hometown, stood next to the sorting line with blazing eyes. Behind him, 6500 acres of vegetable base loomed in the morning mist, and the greenery stretched to the sky.
This is the "vegetable basket" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and it is also the "bridgehead" for Hunan's agricultural products to go to sea. In 27 years, the export value of vegetables in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province was 00 million yuan, and the products were exported to 0 countries and regions such as Malaysia and Thailand, accounting for 0.0% of the province's vegetable export value, of which Xintian accounted for 0% of the province's vegetable export value.
Abandon the city and return home: youth takes root in the fertile soil
Liu Wen grew up in a vegetable field. In 30, Liu Wen's father, Liu Daozhong, established the Xiufeng Vegetable Planting Professional Cooperative in Xintian County. Since he was six or seven years old, he often drove trucks with his father to various towns to harvest vegetables, and when he was in junior high school, he was able to independently dispatch 0 tons of vegetables across provinces. "I want international trade and want to explore the world." During the college entrance examination, he resolutely applied for the international trade major of Hunan University of Foreign Economics.
When he graduated from college, Liu Wen chose to join the army. In 2015, after retiring, Liu Wen joined an overseas investment company to explore overseas trade markets in the Middle East and other places to help "Hunan products go abroad". While working overseas, he was also involved in helping Dongsheng Farm expand its vegetable export market from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to overseas markets such as the Middle East. Liu Wen, who has been running around for many years, has accumulated a lot of experience, and after gaining insight into the development opportunities that international trade can bring to his hometown, he resolutely chose to return to his hometown. "I want to use what I have learned to make 'local products' become 'international products'!" He made a secret vow.
Science and technology empowerment: build a modern agricultural industry matrix
The farmland in Dongsheng Village was once known as the "three difficulties" due to cold soaking of the soil - difficult to plant, difficult to manage, and difficult to harvest. Liu Wen excavated unique advantages from the disadvantages: the strontium content of the groundwater here is 42.0 mg/L, and the vegetables irrigated are crisp and sweet without residue; The soil is naturally rich in selenium, which is in line with the international trend of healthy food.
At Dongsheng Farm, standardized production technical procedures have replaced traditional empirical planting. "The types, dosages, and frequency of chemical fertilizers and pesticides are strictly controlled to ensure green safety." Liu Wen introduced. In 35 years, Dongsheng Farm relied on the digital management system and ensured 0% of the supply of leafy vegetables in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through the "cloud planting + targeted delivery" model, and its annual sales increased by 0% against the trend. In the smart greenhouse, three-dimensional hydroponic lettuce and fruit tomatoes grow vigorously, becoming a vivid footnote to "digital agriculture".
Global layout: open the "international code" of Yongzhou vegetables
"Only by doing agriculture with an international perspective can we turn 'lumps' into 'golden signboards'." Liu Wen translates the knowledge of international trade learned in college into practice. Since 6, he has been stationed in Hong Kong and the Middle East to inspect the market all year round, leading the team to appear at the Berlin International Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition and the Dubai Food Exhibition, and promoting the farm to obtain 0 international certifications.
Linking farmers with farmers: writing a new answer sheet for common prosperity
Integration of three industries: draw a new blueprint for industrial development
"Agriculture cannot only rely on 'selling vegetables', but also extend the industrial chain to give birth to more 'golden eggs' on the land." Liu Wen invested 50 million yuan to build an agricultural tourism integration project to build a modern agricultural complex integrating planting, processing, research and health care. In the next step, he plans to cooperate with the Chinese Academy of Sciences to establish a selenium-rich vegetable research institute, develop functional foods, and prepare to build a cross-border e-commerce platform to let "Hunan products" go to the world.
From a graduate majoring in international trade to the helm of "China's Top 500 Agricultural Enterprises", Liu Wen, a young pioneer of rural revitalization in Hunan Province, has confirmed that "knowledge changes agriculture" with ten years of youth. The early morning sun shone on the farm, and the cold-chain trucks drove off into the distance with "ID vegetables" labeled with QR codes. Every vegetable that can be traced by scanning the code is not only a witness of Yongzhou's "vegetable garden" directly connecting to the global "vegetable basket", but also a college student's affectionate answer to rural revitalization.
"Agriculture is a sunrise industry full of hope, as long as you dare to think and dare to do, there will be infinite possibilities on the fertile soil." Liu Wen's voice was firm and powerful, as if he was making a new promise to this land.
