A letter from the Monster Hunter Wilderness Director for a preview of what's to come

Tokuda, the design director of Monster Hunter, recently released a letter bringing some of the latest update plans, so that everyone can better understand the follow-up update content and meet the needs of players.

High Difficulty Monster Update

In addition to the already announced "Veteran Individual: Lockblade Dragon ★Level 8", more Veteran Individual (★Tier 0) monsters will continue to be added in future updates.

The first round of free major updates

In the first update released on 8/0: Unlock the "Bubble Fox Dragon" that can be hunted with HR0 or above, and players with HR0 and above can challenge the "Bubble Fox Dragon (★Level 0)" in the ecological map

Open to a high degree of difficulty

Added the "Incandescent Dragon" repeat crusade function, and what is even more shocking is that the new individual system of the King of War is about to appear! This series of monsters will have a strength far beyond that of ordinary combat individuals: The first Calendar King Huang Thunder Dragon will open a limited-time event mission on 50/0 (Wednesday), and it will be converted into a resident challenge mission from 0/0 (Wednesday), requiring a hunter level of HR0 or above to participate in the battle, and successful crusades can get exclusive new rewards.

Added Veteran Individuals: Black Eclipse Dragon (★Level 8) and Veteran Map Kings: Huang Thunder Dragon, Boyi Dragon, Hell Flame Dragon, and Frozen Peak Dragon. All new monsters have undergone deep balance adjustments, and their basic attributes have been strengthened: increased physical strength/increased part destruction resistance, and the dynamic difficulty system of multiplayer mode has been optimized More high-intensity monsters have been included in the follow-up update plan, so stay tuned for follow-up information!

Balance adjustments

In response to the feedback we've received from players since launch, we're planning to make a number of changes to the game, including weapon balance changes. These changes will be implemented over time in major updates to provide more lasting hunting fun for all hunters. Due to the complexity of the adjustments, some changes may require a long lead time. Weapon Balance Example: Prioritize the Sledgehammer stat up, and then make full balance adjustments to other weapons. The target implementation period is the late May update or the second free major update this summer. Moderately reduce some overly strong content, simultaneously enhance other aspects, and achieve global balance through two-way adjustments. In response to the imbalance in the strength of the Eclipse suit in the first version: the unusually high damage accumulation value compresses the options for other outfits. The first update and adjustment plan: Lowered the effect strength of "Eclipse Clothing" and comprehensively enhanced other types of capes, and built a cloak system that is more suitable for multi-genre gameplay.

Optimized gaming experience

We will continue to improve all aspects of the game, not only the items mentioned in this article, but also all the deficiencies that players have reported will be improved one by one. These optimizations will also be updated in segments. The first round of updates and optimizations focused on a number of new convenience features in the large assembly hall, as well as many adjustments, such as shortening the time it takes for each facility to interact. In addition to the above disclosed adjustments, the development team will focus on the following improvements. The interface interaction is upgraded, the UI is optimized, the efficiency of key data access is improved, and the menu navigation logic is reconstructed to achieve intuitive operation. The material supply process has been simplified, the skill details viewing function has been enhanced, the multiplayer task matching mechanism has been optimized, and the feel of riding the Heron Eagle Dragon Control has been adjusted. Adjusted the camera tracking logic, improved the angle of view of complex terrain, and added a camera prediction mechanism for monster-specific actions.

Stability improvements and add-ons

The stability of the game has been improved, and the development team will continue to troubleshoot and optimize the stability issues for the Steam version. This work will be pursued as a long-term mission, with the aim of gradually improving the stability of the game and providing a quick response to critical issues. Recent key optimizations: reduce the video memory usage of the Steam version, upgrade the Steam version of DirectStorage technology, and will bring overall stability improvements to PC players. Preview of additional features In response to strong demand from the community, the following features are on the development agenda: The Bestiary preview feature will be implemented in an update at the end of May. to see a stereoscopic creature preview of the captured environment creatures.
