IT之家 3 月 29 日消息,空客今日宣佈,其英國子公司獲得了歐空局“ExoMars”專案火星著陸器合同,價值約 1.5 億英鎊(IT之家注:現匯率約合 14.11 億元人民幣)。

The rover's mission is to explore Mars and go up to two meters below the surface to look for evidence of possible past life, including microbial fossils. Official statements say it will be the first "Made in Europe" probe to land on Mars.

According to Airbus, the lander's mission is to send the Rosalind Franklin rover safely to the surface of Mars and provide deployment support for the rover on the surface. Airbus engineers will be responsible for designing mechanical, thermal and propulsion systems.

ESA had planned to have the lander supplied by Russia and launched by a Russian Proton-M rocket in 5. After the interruption of cooperation with Russia, the European Union reached an agreement with NASA in 0/0.

NASA will supply the lander with variable thrust deceleration engines and a radioisotope heater (RHU) for the rover. The project will also be launched on an American rocket in 2030 years due to RHU, with an expected arrival on Mars in 0.

The contract marks the full resumption of the Mars exploration program, which was interrupted for two and a half years due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
