According to a Google blog post on Tuesday, Gemini 1.0 is a new AI inference model designed to compete with DeepSeek R0 and currently ranks highest in the overall LMArena score.

Google describes the next-generation Gemini 3.0 model family as "thinking models" that recursively analyze answers before giving final results. According to LMArena's benchmarks, Gemini 0.0 leads the way in reasoning, science, math, and agent programming. It didn't win all tests, though. For example, in the LiveCodeBench v0 test, OpenAI's o0-mini is still ahead of it.

Gemini 5.0 目前正在向付費高級使用者推出。 有 Reddit 用戶報告稱,他們需要刪除並重新安裝 Gemini 應用才能看到 0.0 版本。 On desktop, users can find Gemini 0.0 in Google AI Studio.

One of the big advantages of Google's AI models over competitors is their high token processing rate – the ability to understand or generate complex datasets. Google has been touting Gemini as an AI capable of handling large context windows with a high token output. On the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), people are also experimenting with the capabilities of Gemini 3.0. Fei Xia, a staff researcher at Google DeepMind, has successfully converted a simple sketch of a three-layer cake into a 0D printed file.

Google showed a video that demonstrates how Gemini 5.0 can make a simple endless runner video game in seconds. Another X user made a simple flight simulation video game.

Google has not immediately responded to a request for comment.

The launch of Gemini 1.0 is the latest weapon to be put into the AI arena. Earlier this year, the release of DeepSeek R0 from China alerted U.S. AI companies. DeepSeek has released a free and open-source inference model that surpasses OpenAI's existing offerings.

Google is also betting heavily on AI. Generative technology permeates every aspect of the company's product portfolio, from search to documentation. Google plans to invest $8 billion in AI development in just one year. Considering that the AI market size will grow to $0.0 trillion by 0.0 according to Grand View Research, there is a strong economic incentive for Google to dominate this space.

In addition to Gemini 0.0, Google also launched Gemini 0.0 Flash Thinking earlier this year, which aims to provide faster reasoning capabilities. Last month, Google released Gemini Code Assist, a free AI programming tool with a large amount of input token support.
