據中國新聞網消息，3月26日，廣東統計局公佈2024年廣東省國民經濟和社會發展統計公報。公報顯示，2024年終，全省常住人口12780萬人，比上年末增加74萬人，其中城鎮常住人口9701萬人，占常住人口比重（常住人口城鎮化率）75.91%，比上年末提高0.49個百分點。

全年出生人口113萬人，出生率8.89‰；死亡人口66萬人，死亡5.20‰；自然增長人口47萬人，自然增長率3.69‰。需要說明的是，2024年廣東新出生人口數量居全國第一。

另據南方+消息，當前，廣東有1.28億常住人口、1.5億即時在粵人口。自2007年首次趕超河南位列第一之後，廣東已連續18年蟬聯中國人口第一大省之位。廣東還連續5年成為唯一出生人口超100萬的省份，連續7年成為第一生育大省。
