人口大省河南省公佈最新數據顯示，2024年全省出生人口增加至76.2萬人，但是常住人口數量持續下降，4年來已累計減少156萬人。

2025年4月3日，河南省統計局公佈《2024年河南省國民經濟和社會發展統計公報》。其中顯示，2024年終全省常住人口為9785萬人，這比2023年終9815萬減少了30萬人。

介面新聞梳理髮現，河南省常住人口數量自2020年達到最高峰9941萬人以後，4年來持續減少了156萬人。其中，2021年減少58萬人，2022年減少11萬人，2023年減少57萬人。

儘管如此，河南省常住人口總量依然在全國排在第三位。近期，廣東省和山東省統計部門已經公佈各自人口變化數據，兩省常住人口總量分別達到12780萬人和10080.17萬人，位居全國第一和第二位。

值得注意的是，2024年全國出生人口增加至954萬人，人口出生率出現回升，這在河南省也得到體現。去年河南省出生人口為76.2萬人，比上年增加6.7萬人，人口出生率為7.78‰。2020年，河南省出生人口首次跌破100萬，2021年再度跌破80萬大關，2023年出生人口69.5萬人為近年來最低。

此外，河南省去年死亡人口數為77.3萬人，減去出生人口數，等於全省人口自然減少1.1萬人。也就是說，2024年河南省常住人口減少的30萬人中，近29萬人屬於凈流出情況。

Thirdly, Guangdong and Zhejiang maintain a trend of population growth, Guangdong ranks first in the country in terms of total population increment, and Zhejiang ranks first in the country in terms of population mechanical growth.

數據還顯示，河南省城鎮化率仍能每年提升約一個百分點。2024年末，全省城鎮常住人口為5795萬人，鄉村常住人口為3990萬人。河南省統計局表示，去年全省常住人口城鎮化率為59.22%，比上年末提高1.14個百分點。此前，2020年-2023年，河南省城鎮化率分別為55.43%、56.45%、57.07%、58.08%。

2022年，河南省印發《河南省新型城鎮化規劃（2021—2035年）》提出，到2025年，城鎮化水平和質量穩步提升，全省常住人口城鎮化率達到63%左右，城鎮化率年均增速1.5個百分點左右，5年新增城鎮常住人口800萬人左右，到2035年，城鎮化進入成熟期，常住人口城鎮化率達到72%左右。

為此，河南省2022年5月出臺《河南省優化生育政策促進人口長期均衡發展實施方案》曾提出，從醫保、休假、稅收、住房等多個方面給予優惠或福利，以鼓勵生育。
