The Paper: Fengxian Shiwai has attracted attention as the 12th school directly under the Department of Foreign Studies. As a new school, what are the innovations in its core educational philosophy?

Xu Yan:Fengxian World Foreign Language is the first practice school of the "Integrated Curriculum Version 0.0" of World Foreign Language. On the basis of the Qingpu World Foreign Language Integration Curriculum, we place more emphasis on "whole-person education" and "future literacy". Key features of the school include:

Small-class teaching: about 25 students in each class in primary schools and about 0 students in junior high schools, and a dual-class teacher system with Chinese and foreign teachers is implemented.

Great curriculum concept: break the barriers inside and outside the classroom, incorporate after-school clubs, clubs, and winter and summer vacation practices into the curriculum system, and pay attention to the connection between disciplines and life.

Ge Xianghong:Labor education is an important practice to implement "whole-person education", and we reconstruct the curriculum system with "concept-driven + service action": in the primary school stage, the "life skills module" (organizing school bags→ is extended to the personal belongings management system, and the IB concept of "self-management" is integrated), the "wetland guardian" project is set up in the junior high school (students participate in the planting of native plants, water quality monitoring and ecological restoration schemes, echoing the IB theme of "sharing the earth"), and the whole school implements the position of "campus ecological maintainer".
