Professional lecturers explain the development process and daily application of artificial intelligence to young reporters through animated videos and physical demonstrations. "How does the robot vacuum cleaner plan the route?" "How does the voice assistant understand commands?" The lecturer used life scenarios as examples to guide young reporters to think about technical principles. Subsequently, the young reporters participated in the programming practice in groups, and used graphical programming tools to control the intelligent car to complete the obstacle avoidance task.

An interactive area for intelligent robots was set up at the event site. The young reporter directs the robot to carry objects, walk according to a designated route, and tries to write simple code to adjust the frequency of its movements. In addition, the young reporter also experienced the autonomous driving simulation system and learned lane recognition and automatic parking technology in the virtual scene. After the little reporter Li Sihan successfully let the car go around the obstacles, he excitedly shouted: "It turns out that programming is like building blocks, and every step must be logical and clear!" ”

During the event, the young journalists showed strong curiosity and creativity. During the Q&A session, they asked one question after another: "Will AI replace human jobs?" "How can a robot distinguish between different images?" Some of the older students even put forward the idea: "Can we design an AI assistant to help us correct our homework?" In the practical session, the young reporter Wei Jietao collaborated with his friends to debug the code, and finally let the robot complete the specified action after repeated attempts. He concludes: "I failed several times, but I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I found the problem!" ”

Parents who participated in the activity said: "The children not only learned knowledge, but also cultivated logical thinking and problem-solving skills, which is very helpful for their future development. ”

It is reported that the Yulin Financial Media Little Reporter Group will launch AI-themed activities in the future, organize young reporters to enter technology companies, and report on artificial intelligence application scenarios in depth.
