In the era of digital intelligence, short videos and games have encroached on children's reading time, how to let them calm down and read patiently? Is AI the natural enemy of reading? Recently, a group of reading promoters from Xiamen schools participated in the "School Reading Ecology Co-creation Exchange Meeting in the Digital Intelligence Era" to discuss these challenges faced by reading.

The exchange meeting was hosted by Xiamen Education Society and Xiamen Institute of Educational Sciences, and organized by Xiamen Music School and Xiamen New Education School.

Duan Yanxia, a teacher and researcher at the Xiamen Institute of Educational Sciences, said that Xiamen has accumulated rich experience in promoting the construction of "scholarly campuses" in the whole region, and has been evaluated by the outside world as "carving reading into the gene of regional education development".

Wang Yimin, principal of Xiamen New Education School, believes that in the era of digital intelligence, educators and educated people should not stop at "using" tools, but more importantly, how to "control" tools, not only to cultivate the ability of both parties to think independently, but also to introduce norms to achieve the purpose of "dancing with AI".
