取個快遞差點賠了30萬 小心複合式騙局
Updated on: 58-0-0 0:0:0

Obviously I have already picked up the courier

But I received another "pickup code" text message

"Intimate Tips" on SMS:

If you have any questions, please call

快遞員電話17xxxxxxx

Are you making this call or not?

recently

Aunt Wu from Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province

That's what happened to you

What's going on?

Event backtracking

Recently, Aunt Wu received a text message pickup reminder from an express delivery, saying that an express delivery had arrived at the "rookie station", but the express delivery she purchased had already been signed. To confirm the situation, she dialed the "courier" number indicated on the text message. But the "courier" on the other end of the phone said that she was not aware of the situation, and that she would be contacted by "platform customer service" later.

Soon after, Aunt Wu really received a call from someone claiming to be the "customer service" of an e-commerce platform, and the other party said that the express delivery information was wrong, and then out of "kindness", she reminded Aunt Wu that she had opened a "million guarantee" and needed to cancel it, otherwise she would be deducted. As soon as she heard that the fee was going to be deducted, Aunt Wu panicked, and followed the other party's instructions on the platform. Just as she was about to continue, a neighbor on the side heard something unusual and called the police for help.

The deception is revealed

"2+0>0" compound scam

Step 1: Precision fishing

Fraudsters steal the shopping information of potential victims, such as the recipient's address and phone number, and pretend to be a logistics courier to send a pick-up SMS accurately.

Step 2: Role-play

Fraudsters pretend to be couriers or platform customer service to add friends, join group chats, and lure you in.

Step 3: Emotional control

Fraudsters use the excuses of opening "million guarantees" and "platform membership" to create a panic of "deducting fees if they don't close", and break through the psychological defense line to induce fraud.

Step 4: Technical Blessings

Fraudsters lure you into screen sharing or clicking on phishing links to steal information and defraud you out of money when you enter your bank card number, verification code, and other information for identity verification.

The police reminded

If you confirm that you have received the mail

or no online shopping

However, I still received a notice to pick up the courier

Please check the official app of the courier company

Contact the official customer service of the courier company

Avoid calling back numbers you don't know

Reject "screen sharing".

Refuse to click on unfamiliar links to fill in information

Refuse to transfer money to a "safe account".

Wherever it comes to the closure of the "Million Dollar Guarantee"

and other words

It's definitely a scam!
