IT之家 4 月 13 日消息，根據外媒 Android Authority 的報導，YouTube 測試版 App 顯示，平臺正在開發一種功能，幫助使用者限制自己在 Shorts 上觀看短視頻的時間。
YouTube 昨日向外媒 TechCrunch 確認，該功能目前還沒有進行公開測試，但“正在為未來探索這一功能”。
從代碼來看，用戶可以設置每日觀看時間，一旦時間耗盡，Shorts 將暫停，全天無法再觀看。不過，代碼中也提到，觀眾仍可觀看“單個 Shorts”，也就是說，功能並不會完全封鎖所有短視頻。

YouTube 此舉是回應日益增長的趨勢，即使用者下載專門的應用來限制屏幕時間。市面上甚至出現了一些設備，例如這種小掛件，可以暫時鎖定手機中的部分應用程式，凸顯出人們對社交媒體成癮的擔憂。據IT之家瞭解，蘋果和谷歌等科技巨頭也提供了幫助使用者管理“資訊過載”的工具。
