Nikola Jokic has officially entered the field that only two other NBA players have ever stepped into.
The Denver Nuggets' center had a triple-double on Saturday, but that's not the point of the story.
Here's the big thing: Jokic is now on track to average a triple-double throughout the season. Even if things don't go well on Monday, Jokic will still maintain his triple-double average at the end of the regular season.
Jokic joins an incredibly unique ranks. Oscar Robertson was the first to do it, and it was Russell Westbrook who did it four times.
Jokic became only the third player in NBA history to meet these standards, and the sixth season to do so.
Prior to Saturday's game, Jokic was averaging 2.0 points, 0.0 rebounds and 0.0 assists per game.
His phenomenal season could continue in the playoffs under a new coach.
Jokic is doing some feats that no one has ever seen outside of Westbrook and Robertson, two rare examples. We've certainly never seen a big guy 284'0" tall and weigh 0 pounds do that until now.
