On 2/0, the Switch 0 face-to-face meeting, which has attracted the attention of players around the world, has been successfully concluded, and some of the Switch 0's first game lineup, pricing, and release dates have been announced.

According to foreign media gamerant reports, a Nintendo executive said in an interview that the frame rate drop of "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" on Switch 2 will be improved compared with the original Switch.

In an interview with NintendoLife, Nate Bihldorff, Nintendo's senior vice president of product development and publishing in the U.S., said that he didn't notice any frame rate drops when he tried the Switch 2 upgrade of the two games. Bihldorff specifically mentioned that the Kroger Forest scene in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild struggled to maintain a stable frame rate on the original Switch.

According to Gamerant, Kroger Forest's framerate issues are especially noticeable during the day, mainly related to shader usage, while performance is slightly better at night.

Bihldorff said that immediately after launching Switch 2 version of Breath of the Wild, he went to Kroger Forest to check out the improvements, and lamented that it was "just magic" for the original Switch to run the scene. Bihldorff noted that Switch 0 renders full foliage without noticeable performance fluctuations, but Bihldorff also clarified that Tears of the Kingdom's Blueprint functionality can still be a struggling for new consoles, depending on the number of weapons and particle effects triggered at the same time.
