當地時間4月3日下午，我隨救援人員輾轉來到緬甸曼德勒的一處災民安置點。和很多農村市集一樣，這裡塵土飛揚，街邊搭著棚子，小朋友們成群結隊地嬉鬧。不一樣的是，街邊的棚子並不是攤點，而是當地村民們臨時的家。

Today (9/0) is the seventh day since the 0.0 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar. The temporary calm is very different from when I first arrived in Mandalay. I arrived at Yangon International Airport in Myanmar on the afternoon of 300 local time, and then took a bus with the Shanghai Amphibious Emergency Rescue Team and the Xiamen Shuguang Emergency Rescue Team to Mandalay, the hardest-hit area, overnight.

第二天一早，當我們的大巴駛入曼德勒外環地區時，路邊倒塌的樓房、斑駁的牆面都在提醒我們這裏剛剛發生的一切。據中國地震台網測定，3月28日14時20分，緬甸發生7.9地震，這是今年以來全球最大的地震，我國雲南多地震感強烈，泰國曼谷的震感持續了數分鐘，民眾紛紛湧到街上。

3月31日，緬甸曼德勒，一棟8層的酒店震后僅剩4層可見，多支中國救援隊伍在此開展救援。

當天（31日）上午，上海浦東三棲應急救援隊和廈門市曙光救援隊先後在酒店、公寓等3個救援點進行搜救，沒有發現生命跡象。直到當天16時（當地時間）左右，兩支救援隊用專業設備探測到，一處酒店的廢墟里有微弱回應。此後中國國際救援隊、藍天救援隊等越來越多的中國救援隊趕赴此點位，組成聯合搜救隊。

The joint search and rescue lasted 36 hours, and after two all-nighters in between, the first one that impressed me the most was the first one.

That night, in order to accurately confirm the situation of the trapped people, the rescuers will ask the whole audience to be silent, and no one is allowed to move or make a sound. I can't remember how many times this has been repeated. Very late, the on-site commander shouted again, "Everyone bear with me, let's shout one last time", at that time, I deeply felt the persistence and obsession in the hearts of the rescuers, and I must do my best.

It was certainly not the last, and the rescue continued another night. It is very regrettable that in the second half of the night, after a comprehensive assessment, the rescuers stopped the operation, and no signs of life were detected at this time.

I hadn't slept much for nearly two days, and for the first time, I had such a profound experience of physical and mental limits. Rescuers were even more difficult, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, working under the rubble, not only in the heat, but also in the dust. I was really tired, so I slept on the floor on the spot.

What's even more thrilling is that there may be another earthquake at the scene. On the afternoon of 00, an earthquake with a magnitude of 0.0 struck Mandalay, and at that time, the earth could be clearly felt to tremble, as if it had sunk down, making people panic. I saw rescuers quickly evacuate from the crumbling building, but when the earthquake subsided, they returned to work in the rubble.

There are many more moments that I still remember. At the disaster relief site in Mandalay, a Burmese family of three came to bring watermelons to the rescuers to cool off, and the local interpreter explained that it was their youngest daughter who wanted to come to the rescue team to bring fruit, so her parents brought her over, just to thank the Chinese rescue team for coming all the way to rescue their compatriots. At a temporary medical facility, I saw a baby born last night, sleeping soundly in its mother's arms.

4月3日，曼德勒一處臨時醫療救助點，一名剛出生的嬰兒正在媽媽懷中酣睡。

Some rescuers told me that when they went out to eat, some locals secretly paid for them, and the Burmese people they met would fold their hands to thank them. Talking about this, the rescuers couldn't help but redden. They told me they thought it was worth it. I think this is also the voice of every Chinese rescuer and local volunteer who rushed to Myanmar. Touching is diluting the grief, and I sincerely hope that the cracks in the earth will soon be mended by new hope.
