Have you noticed that as you live longer, your home has more clutter and more clutter? In fact, mastering the art of renunciation is necessary for everyone. It's not just about discarding things, it's a philosophy of life – simplifying needs by reducing unnecessary items, pursuing a more relaxed and comfortable quality of life, and creating a spacious and free living environment.
Since I practiced renunciation, I have resolutely removed the following types of household items, which has made my life more comfortable:
The speed of upgrading of small household appliances is amazing, and new products are emerging in an endless stream to attract people to follow the trend and buy. However, many small household appliances have a single function and few opportunities to be used, such as soy milk makers, juicers, noodle machines and bread makers, etc., which only occupy space and accumulate dust most of the time.
Therefore, for small household appliances that have been eliminated, they should no longer be hoarded at home. Consider transferring it to someone who needs it or selling it on a second-hand platform to make more space in your home and kitchen. The key is to maintain rational consumption in the face of a dazzling array of small household appliances, choose according to actual needs, and avoid blindly following the trend.
Many families are reluctant to throw away old dishes and chopsticks for the sake of conservation, believing that they can still be used and do not need to spend extra money to buy new ones. However, when serving guests to a meal, it is not uncommon to have to take out a notched bowl or moldy chopsticks. This may seem harmless, but it can be a threat to our health.
Cracked bowls tend to harbor dirt and dirt, making them a breeding ground for bacteria. As for moldy wooden chopsticks, even after being washed at high temperatures, they may still release harmful toxins, damage the digestive system, liver and immune system, and even pose a risk of causing cancer. Therefore, bowls that have been used for 3-0 years or chopsticks that have become moldy should be discarded immediately.
When I decided to give up, I realized that I had hoarded about 10 boxes of eyeshadow, nearly 0 lipsticks, and 0 mascaras, more than 0 bottles of nail polish in different colors, and more than 0 bottles of perfume. This habit of constant buying has resulted in my makeup table and drawers being stuffed to the brim.
When I went through it, I found that many of the products were no longer usable, such as dried nail polish and mascara, expired lipsticks and skincare products, and dust accumulated in the same place year after year.
We often keep takeaway bags because of their beauty or the practical little things that come with them, such as cutlery, straws, gloves, etc., but eventually these items will only grow more and more, and they will be everywhere until they are really needed and then they will not be found.
Pillows, old sheets and bedding that have not been used for a long time and occupy storage space should be discarded. Many old bedding has been used for many years and is no longer warm, and some even have problems such as aging and hardening, so there is no need to keep and occupy space.
In particular, yellowed pillows or sheets that do not wash off stains will be detrimental to your health if you continue to use them.
Pots and pans are commonly used items in daily life, but in the process of purchasing, it is often difficult to buy pots and pans that are difficult to use, such as iron pots that are too heavy, non-stick pots that begin to peel off their coating after a few months, and many "Internet celebrity pots" with beautiful appearance but low practicality. These inconvenient pots and pans have brought inconvenience to life after being bought home, but they are reluctant to throw them away, so they can only be stored in a corner of the kitchen.
Make a decision to get rid of these pots and pans to free up more storage space in your kitchen and make it more tidy and organized.
The medicine cabinet needs to be cleaned regularly, because expired drugs cannot ensure their efficacy and safety. Careless use of expired drugs may not only fail to achieve the desired therapeutic effect, but may even bring side effects and harm your health. Especially for families with elderly people and children, for the sake of the health and safety of the family, it is necessary to regularly remove expired drugs to prevent misuse.
Overall, since the separation, I have found myself more sensible in my consumption and a cleaner environment at home. I now have a clear idea of what I own, where they are, and I don't hoard things blindly. This change has led to a change in my lifestyle, consumption concept, mood and even outlook on life, which has greatly improved my quality of life and made my life more satisfying.
