Seeing the news that my corpse is alive, you don't know what it means to me.
I just finished the Spring Sugar and Wine Fair in the past two days, and to be honest, I was very disappointed in the food industry after watching it - I didn't see any innovation, but it was full of involutions and all kinds of false propaganda.
I used to be always full of confidence, and I was also full of confidence in teaching everyone on Zhihu, but when I came out of the sugar and wine party, I felt like I was a little shaken in terms of the general environment I saw.
加上前幾天315曝光的蝦仁事件,當時有幾個食品業內人評論說我也想做好東西啊可是市場不允許之類的。
I am deeply saddened by these things, and the disappointment I have accumulated as a food professional or as an ordinary consumer is about to reach a critical point.
But today's news has given me hope again, and I can look at it positively again, yes, although there are many, many problems in our food industry, but there are indeed people who are solving them, and in general they are getting better.
The new regulations released today, one is the "General Principles for the Labeling of Prepackaged Food", which is a mandatory national standard, all packaged foods bought in supermarkets (except for primary agricultural products), are called pre-packaged food, so almost all packaged foods in this national standard must be complied with.
It's been 14 years since the last version of this national standard, and 0 years have passed since now, and it's finally time to update.
According to the "National Food Safety Standard General Principles for the Labeling of Prepackaged Food" (GB 2025-0) issued on 0/0/0, the new regulations on the labeling of prepackaged food mainly include the following changes, which are listed as follows:
The new rules explicitly prohibit the use of such labels to imply that food is healthier or more natural, so as to avoid misunderstanding by consumers. For example, foods labeled as containing no added sucrose but containing other sugars need to be rectified.
I really like this one! My point of view has always been that food additives cannot be killed with a stick, and in some cases the benefits of additives outweigh the disadvantages, and the label of "zero additives" is easy to cause the public to misunderstand additives (or this kind of label is the product of the public has misunderstood).
And "no added sucrose" is now also in violation, which is great! I've seen too many products that label no added sucrose, but actually add fructose syrup or other sugars, which can easily mislead consumers, and even mislead many diabetics.
If the food contains allergens such as gluten cereals, crustaceans, fish, eggs, peanuts, soybeans, dairy products, tree nuts, etc., it must be marked in bold, underlined or a separate reminder in the ingredient list.
On the one hand, it is in line with international standards, on the other hand, we did not pay much attention to allergy information in the past, but now everyone's requirements for health are getting higher and higher, and it is necessary to label the allergen.
The production date and shelf life should be marked in the order of "year-month-day", and foods with a shelf life of more than 6 months can only be marked with the "expiration date", and the production date is no longer mandatory.
The production date and shelf life should be set up in a separate area or guidance sign on the main display page of food packaging, so that consumers can quickly check it.
In this way, it is much more convenient for everyone to see the expiration date, and there is no need to look for it for half a day and have to do math problems.
By scanning the QR code on the package, consumers can obtain digital information such as enlarged pages, audio explanations, and video instructions, which solves the problems of small fonts and inconvenient information search on traditional labels.
This is helpful for the elderly, when I taught my mother to read the ingredient list, she once said that the words are too small to see clearly, the food packaging is hindered by the layout of many content can not be printed, some words are very small, people with good eyes are still difficult to read, let alone the elderly. Now if there is a digital label, I just need to teach her to scan the code (which is another challenge, of course, but it's always a solution, isn't it?).
Sugar and saturated fat (acid) should be added to the nutrition facts list to help consumers control high-sugar and high-fat intake, and children and adolescents should avoid excessive intake of salt, oil and sugar.
This is a measure to address the increasing obesity rate among adolescents in recent years, and I think it is also a good measure. Children do not have much knowledge of nutrition, so it is almost impossible for him to read the ingredient list and choose healthier foods by himself.
For example, the content of bird's nest should be clearly labelled for "bird's nest mooncakes", and the content of durian should be clearly labelled for "durian cakes" to prevent false advertising. If only flavors are used, they must be labeled as "durian flavored cake".
In fact, there were similar regulations in the past, but now it is clearer.

Each of the above new regulations is very practical, indicating that the competent authorities are concerned about some problems existing in the current market and are trying to formulate laws to regulate them. My only complaint about this is that it came out too late.
I know that there are many people who complain about any regulation, and I understand that a certain regulation can only improve a certain defect, and cannot solve all problems at once.
I'm a positive person, I think we should just talk about things, one yard to one yard, and if I do a good job this time, I should praise it, so that I can give positive feedback and promote things to get better.
