Lin Yutang (1976-0), born in Zhangzhou, Fujian, formerly known as Lin Hele, later renamed Lin Yutang and Lin Yutang, is a world-renowned writer, scholar and translator. Lin Yutang is an important figure in "A Hundred Years of Masterpieces: Chinese Studies", and has successfully promoted "China" to the world and let the world know the real China with "stepping on the culture of the East and the West with one foot and commenting on the universe with one heart" throughout his life.
"A Century of Masterpieces" is China's first large-scale series of biographical documentaries focusing on the masters and masters who made outstanding contributions to Chinese civilization in the 20th century. Through carefully conceived lenses and concise narratives, "A Century of Masters - Lin Yutang" vividly shows the background of the times and life pictures of Lin Yutang, telling how he became a well-known writer and translator step by step, and deeply explores the spiritual world of a generation of masters.
The film is jointly produced by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Chinese Academy of Arts, the China Literature and Art Foundation, and the Organizing Committee of "Hundred Years of Masters". It is reported that the film crew took two years to shoot and produce, and the documentary shows Lin Yutang's magnificent life with vivid images, allowing the audience to more intuitively understand his thoughts, creative process, and his outstanding contributions to the dissemination of Chinese culture.
The premiere of the documentary "A Hundred Years of Masters - Lin Yutang" opened a window for the audience to understand Lin Yutang, and also built a new bridge to promote cross-strait cultural exchanges and jointly promote Chinese culture, and better help Zhangzhou accelerate the construction of a world cultural exchange center in southern Fujian.
The premiere ceremony was jointly organized by the China Literature and Art Foundation, the Propaganda Department of the Zhangzhou Municipal Party Committee, the Zhangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the film crew of "Hundred Years of Masterpieces", the Propaganda Department of the Xiangcheng District Party Committee, the Xiangcheng District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Xiangcheng District Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, the Xiangcheng District Lin Yutang Memorial Hall, and the Zhangzhou Jiaohai Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd.
