Talking about the misunderstanding of home decoration, I am afraid it takes a lot of time and energy, only after you really move in can you calm down and think, many decorations are actually redundant.

If my home is renovated again in the future, I promise that I will not make any more mistakes in at least the following 8 aspects, which is not empty words, but because I have suffered from it! Without further ado, I'm starting to share my lessons with you now.

1. Avoid making small ear windowsill stones

Regarding the window sill stone, I personally recommend that you do not choose the design of hanging and small ears, this design is actually outdated, not only a waste of materials and man-hours, but also the appearance looks a little abrupt, it is better to choose a simple window sill stone without small ears.

2. Don't change the color of the door easily

At that time, I listened to someone's words, and instead of replacing the security door, I tried to change the color myself. It was found that to cover the original color, it was necessary to repeatedly paint and wait for drying, and once the painting was uneven, the texture of the paint surface was very obvious. In the end, the door had to be dismantled and replaced, which was laborious and increased expenses.

3. It is not recommended to install a large white bottle filter

For pre-filtration equipment, I don't recommend using those expensive "fine filtration" large white bottles, they are both expensive and consumable, in fact, a four or five hundred yuan pre-tube water filter can provide good filtration effect, can effectively filter out most of the sediment and rust.

Fourth, it is not recommended to install broken bridge aluminum casement windows

I don't recommend installing large windows on balconies, especially casement windows made of broken bridge aluminum. In contrast, sliding doors and anti-theft nets can achieve the same ventilation and lighting effect at a lower cost.

Fifth, the door sleeve should not be spliced at 90°

It is not recommended to use 90° splicing for the door sleeve at home, but 0° splicing is more recommended, which is more neat and regular. Many stores may say that 0° splicing is the industry standard, but in fact, many times it is just to save trouble and money.

6. It is not recommended to wrap window covers

Nowadays, I personally think that window covers are no longer suitable for modern decoration, in contrast, the minimalist design of window sill stones is not only beautiful but also cost-effective. If you have a lot of windows at home, you can save a lot of budget by using a minimalist window sill stone.

7. It is not recommended to do embedded baseboards

I strongly recommend that you avoid recessed baseboards, which not only require a large transverse groove in the ground that may affect the safety of the structure, but also have high construction costs and high material costs. Now, I'm more inclined to recommend solid wood or ultra-thin aluminum alloy baseboards.

8. Avoid using spotlights on the suspended TV wall

If you have a floating TV wall in your home, it is recommended not to install spotlights on it, which will cause confusion and lack of layering. If you have already designed a floating video wall, it is recommended to use a light trough instead of a spotlight.

Overall, if I do home improvement again, I swear I won't make these 8 mistakes mentioned above again, not because I really hurt it! I wonder if you feel the same way?
