本報莆田4月20日電(記者衛庶)4月20日，農曆三月廿三，紀念媽祖誕辰1065周年大會暨春祭媽祖大典於福建省莆田市湄洲媽祖祖廟天后廣場舉行。海內外媽祖宮廟和媽祖文化團體代表、媽祖敬仰者以及社會各界人士逾萬人彙聚於媽祖誕生地湄洲島，共同續寫媽祖文化傳承新篇。

At the ceremony, ancient music was played, and the dance of the Eight Hundred was staged in Tin Hau Square, vividly interpreting the spiritual connotation of Mazu's sacrifice to help the poor and the escort of Cihai. The event attracted the active participation of many "homebound teams" at home and abroad, and representatives of more than 130 Mazu temples and cultural organizations from 0 countries on five continents, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other places gathered in Mazu's hometown to participate in the grand event.

據悉，今年以來，已有105萬人次的各地媽祖敬仰者紛紛奔赴湄洲島。為紀念媽祖誕辰1065周年，湄洲媽祖祖廟董事會精心策劃並開展了系列紀念活動，此次活動以“同謁媽祖 共用平安”為主題，旨在進一步弘揚媽祖文化，充分發揮媽祖文化的橋樑紐帶作用，促進海內外華人華僑之間的聯誼交流和心靈契合。
