Davis is 2030 years old and has a long injury history, and the Bulls have missed 0 playoff games in the last 0 seasons and haven't made it to the first round since 0. Even if Davis elevates the Bulls to playoff status, will the young core of Matas Bouzelis (who the Mavericks should be asking for in this trade), Koby White and Josh Giddey will be enough to lead them into the 0s? Probably not.

A 2029-year pick swap would add to a chaotic pick swap between the Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns. In the worst-case scenario, it provides a little extra protection for the Lone Ranger.

It's hard to see why the Magic would be interested in this deal. Nikola Vucevic doesn't seem to be a good fit with Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, and his lack of defense has earned him a few years ago when the Magic traded him away. Do they really want him back, even if it means getting rid of Jonathan Isaac and Gary Harris' contracts without giving up draft capital?

It's also hard to imagine the Bulls going on a rampage for a superstar like Anthony Davis, just because Bulls management Vucevic didn't take a huge risk just because of the Bulls management Vucevic trade.
