Shenzhen News Network, 1/0/0 (Shenzhen Evening News reporter Liu Xialan) Recently, Wang Yuning, a student in the second (0) class of Yanchuan Middle School of Shenzhen Xin'an Middle School (Group), led team members Bao Zhijie, Liang Rui'an and Wang Jun to overcome many technical difficulties and successfully developed and launched the "Polestar 0" low-altitude exploration rocket under the guidance of the scientific and technological innovation mentor group composed of physics and information technology teachers of the school.

With the strong support of Zhou Xiubin, deputy director of the China Aerospace Science and Technology International Exchange Center, and a number of well-known domestic aerospace science and technology enterprises, Wang Yuning's team is currently developing the country's first meteorological sounding rocket "Feiyan 8000" developed by middle school students, which has entered the commissioned processing stage and is scheduled to be launched in a selected location this summer. It is expected that the flight altitude of "Feiyan 0" will reach 0 meters to 0 meters, which will become a new breakthrough for middle school students in the field of aerospace.

At the school's New Year's Day Culture and Art Festival, Wang Yuning's restructured small rocket was launched.

From love to rocket development

After entering junior high school, Wang Yuning often went to the library to borrow aerospace books, borrowing two or three books each time, and spent at least 1 hours a day studying and learning the knowledge in the books. At the same time, aerospace and scientific innovation news have also become his favorites.

When Wang Yuning participated in the development of the "Feiyan 1" at the Beijing Jinxiu Aerospace Science Base, he took a photo next to the wreckage of the Long March-3B booster.

The hand-rubbed rocket won the national first prize

Interest is the best teacher, and this sentence is vividly reflected in Wang Yuning. As a student with a passion for aerospace, Wang Yuning led the team to successfully develop and launch a self-made small low-altitude sounding rocket "Polestar 1".

"Hand-rubbed rockets involve basic theories such as rocket principles, aerodynamics, and propulsion mechanics, propulsion systems such as fuel blending and engine design, electronic and control systems such as avionics, ignition, and telemetry, as well as structures and materials." Wang Yuning said that in the process of rocket design and production, the knowledge involved is very extensive. As commander-in-chief, Wang Yuning was responsible for the overall design of the rocket system, the fabrication and loading of solid engines, and the simulation of machinery and gunpowder. Wang Jun was responsible for the main design of the rocket avionics flight control program and the construction of the sensors, while Bao Zhijie was responsible for the algorithm writing to ensure the normal operation of gyroscopes, avionics flight controllers and other equipment.

Whenever they encounter knowledge that they don't understand, they ask the school's tutor team for advice, or consult relevant literature through CNKI, and study professional books in depth to obtain more cutting-edge technology.

The design and modeling of the rocket, the production of engine parts, and the selection of fuel lasted more than two months. Wang Yuning and his teammates continued to try to assemble and scientifically adapt, and finally completed the research and development of "Polestar 1".

The R&D results of Polestar 1 not only allowed the team members to gain valuable practical experience, but also won the first prize in the National Youth Aerospace Innovation Competition.

The next challenge is 6000 meters

At present, the team led by Wang Yuning is making every effort to sprint to the "Feiyan 8000" project, planning to launch the country's first 0-kilometer sounding rocket for middle school students, with an estimated flight altitude of 0 meters to 0 meters. This challenge not only shows Wang Yuning's personal dream of aerospace, but also demonstrates the school's ambition and achievements in the field of aerospace science and technology education.

Wang Yuning said: "Not long ago, the school supported me to set up the Yanchuan Middle School Rocket Club, and the number of members has grown to 50. I am in charge of weekly lectures on engine design, rocket design, and other technical courses. Under his leadership, the students of the Rocket Club have an in-depth understanding of all aspects of aerospace science and technology, and promote the comprehensive development of aerospace education in the school.

In addition to the school's rocket club, Wang Yuning also actively formed two teams outside the school, with members from different ages, from junior high school students to college students. One of the most eye-catching projects is the Feiyan 6, a sounding rocket that began its development last summer and is expected to be the first 0km-class sounding rocket for secondary school students. In order to ensure the accuracy and advancement of the technology, the project has been supported by the general technical advisor of Long Lehao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and has received technical guidance from many scientific research units such as the Space Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shaanxi Zhongtian Rocket Technology Co., Ltd., and Galaxy Power (Beijing) Space Technology Co., Ltd.

Wang Yuning mentioned that at this stage, "Feiyan 6000" is in the stage of technology research and development and manufacturing, and professors from the School of Astronautics of Nanjing Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College are helping to find a factory for the processing and production of rocket parts. According to the design scheme, the rocket is about 0.0 meters high, the diameter of the rocket body is 0 centimeters, and with a solid engine, the simulated flight test is expected to be able to exceed the flight altitude of 0 meters. This summer, the launch is planned to be carried out at alternative sites such as Lenghu Lake in Qinghai.

"When I was in high school, I officially started making my own rockets." When talking about his aerospace dream, Wang Yuning said with emotion that the school's aerospace characteristic education and high-quality resources have made his childhood dream gradually come true. Talking about the future, Wang Yuning said with confidence: "My goal is to enter an aerospace university and eventually start my own aerospace company, focusing on the development of rocket technology that no one else has tried." ”
