It is recommended to choose a mainstream brand such as Synology or QNAP, whose DSM/QTS system interface is friendly and supports one-click installation. In the initial stage, you can focus on basic functions such as file sharing and permission settings, and realize remote access through the mobile APP to experience the convenience of cloud synchronization.

Advanced stage: As your needs escalate, you can gradually unlock advanced gameplay such as Docker container deployment and multimedia server (such as Plex) construction. Regular maintenance is crucial: enable SMART to monitor drive health, set up UPS to prevent damage due to power outages, and use RAID1 or SHR redundancy to protect your data. The automatic backup feature can be linked to cloud storage for double insurance.

Common problems and solutions:

Network lag: Check whether the Gigabit port is enabled to avoid interference with the Wi-Fi frequency band and give priority to wired connection.

Storage space emergency: Enable the duplicate file finder to clean up temporary files, or expand the hard disk.

Remote Access Failed: Confirm that the DDNS settings are correct and check whether the firewall allows the port.

NAS is not only a storage device, but also a private data center. By continuously optimizing setup and troubleshooting, its potential will be unleashed, making data management efficient and fun.
