Recently, some netizens posted that they saw a large area near Wuchang Bay, Wuchang District, Wuhan City, which was blocked by a fence, and from a high place, it was suspected to be a ruin. Some netizens left a message saying that what was found in the area may be the ruins of the Huguang Governor's Palace.

On 11/0, the Jingshi live broadcast reporter contacted the Ziyang Street Office in Wuchang District, Wuhan City. According to the staff, a site was indeed discovered, which was discovered during the construction of a real estate at the beginning of this year, and the construction has been suspended, and the cultural relics department is in contact with the real estate for follow-up matters.

A staff member of the Wuchang District Culture and Tourism Bureau of Wuhan also told reporters that archaeological work in the area is currently underway.
