"Let's put the words here first, some seemingly ordinary little habits in life may be quietly burying mines for health. Take the plastic bottles used every day as an example, there are a lot of doorways here.

Xiao Wu grew up with his grandparents. The older generation lives a life, and that is called a careful and thrifty habit is like engraved in the bones. Under the words and deeds of his grandparents, Xiao Wu also developed this habit, he was reluctant to throw away the plastic bottles used up at home, thinking that he could continue to fill water and put food or something, thinking that this was not wasteful, but also very convenient.

But some time ago, Xiao Wu's girlfriend couldn't stand it anymore and pushed him an article. Good guys, the experts in the article say that the use of plastic bottles is easy to cause cancer. This scared Xiao Wu a lot, and he muttered in his heart: I have been using plastic bottles like this, is there something wrong with my body? Is this plastic bottle really so harmful? The high incidence of cancer in China is inseparable?

There have been rumors on the Internet that disposable plastic bottles marked with the word "1" at the bottom of the bottle must not be reused, otherwise the risk of cancer will rise. This rumor spread so much that many people were suspicious. In fact, the number on the bottom of the plastic bottle is the mark code set by the American Plastics Industry Association, which is used to indicate different materials. Marked with "0" is made of PET, the full name of polyethylene terephthalate. The material itself is not toxic, there is no strange smell, health and safety is good, and most of the mineral water bottles and carbonated drink bottles we usually drink are made of it.

There is also a rumor that bottled water after being exposed to the sun is like poisonous water, and it may not be good to drink it. However, after a study by multiple research institutions on the substances that may be precipitated from plastic bottles, it was found that PET bottled water after exposure to the sun did not produce any poison at all. However, PET material has limited heat resistance, and the maximum temperature is 70 degrees Celsius, beyond which the bottle is easy to deform, so it is generally not recommended to use it multiple times.

Speaking of plasticizers, this thing is classified as a Group 2B carcinogen by the WHO's Agency for Research on Cancer, which means it may be carcinogenic, but the evidence is not enough. Fortunately, PET itself is a soft plastic material, and its flexibility is very good, and there is no need to add additional plasticizers when processing, so in this regard, you don't have to worry too much.

Although plastic bottles are safe under certain conditions, if they are not used correctly, then it can be a big problem. When we buy plastic products, we can have a long snack, look for products produced by regular manufacturers and meet the standards, and there is no additional risk in normal use. However, the following ways of use should be avoided as much as possible.

Change what was originally contained: Different plastic products are designed for different purposes. If you use a mineral water bottle to hold other liquids, or foods such as sauerkraut, it is likely to precipitate harmful substances and eat them in your stomach, which is not good for your health. It's like if you ask an athlete who is good at sprinting to run a marathon, it's no wonder that he can adapt to it, and the same is true for bottles.

Beverage bottle aging: Disposable plastic bottles will age if they are used too much, and once they are aged, the migration of harmful substances in them will increase significantly. Imagine that when a person is old, his physical function declines, and all kinds of problems will come to the door, and plastic bottles will also be used, and they will not be so reliable when they are aging, so let's not use them for a long time.

Bottled hot liquids: Bottled hot drinks with mineral water can be too dangerous. PET material is not resistant to high temperatures, and when hot water above 70 degrees Celsius is put in, the bottle will immediately deform and precipitate harmful substances to health. Some families like to put the plastic bottle with spices next to the stove, and when the cooking is turned on, the surrounding temperature is not low, which is equivalent to putting the plastic bottle in a high temperature environment. In this case, the plastic bottle will precipitate an element called "antimony" more quickly, which is biotoxic, and our liver and kidneys will suffer if ingested for a long time. Also, when you usually order takeout, don't just put the takeout box in the microwave to heat it. Most takeaway boxes are made of hard rubber, folded glue and other materials, which are not suitable for high-temperature heating at all. Only polypropylene (PP) can be put in the microwave, which you should remember.

After talking about plastic bottles, let's talk about glass bottles. Everyone generally thinks that glass bottles are healthier than plastic bottles, but did you know that glass bottles have a lot of impact on the environment, even more powerful than plastic bottles? To make glass bottles, a large number of materials such as silica sand and dolomite must be mined. In the process of mining, the land and the environment can suffer, not to mention soil erosion, and may also cause natural disasters. Moreover, the glass bottles are large, occupy space, and the price is cheap, so not many people will collect them and sell them. In the natural environment, glass bottles take longer to degrade than plastic bottles. If the recycling rate does not go up, then we can only keep producing new glass products, and this will fall into a vicious circle.

Having said all this, everyone must be worried, what cup is safer to use to drink water?

Plastic cups: To choose plastic cups, you have to choose the production of regular manufacturers, and give priority to No. 7 and No. 0 materials. These materials, whether they are filled with cold water, hot water, or drinks, are no problem. However, if there is a crack in the plastic cup, replace it quickly, but don't use it again, let alone use the disposable beverage bottle as a water cup for a long time.

Glasses: When it comes to safety, glasses are the best. Its main ingredient is silicate, which is very stable and easy to clean. When buying glasses, try to choose high borosilicate materials, which can carry heat and cold better than ordinary ones, and are resistant to wear and tear, just like putting on a layer of strong armor for the cup.

Ceramic cup: Ceramic cup has a high appearance, and many people like to use it. But when you buy, you have to pay attention to the fact that you should choose a regular manufacturer to make it, don't choose a small workshop production, and don't touch it if there are decorative patterns on the inner wall. Some small workshops produce enamel cups, there may be the problem of heavy metals exceeding the standard, long-term use of this cup to drink water, health will definitely be affected. "
