If your child's interests are not related to learning, will you support your child's interests?

There is not only one thing to learn in life, but there are also many topics that we should spend time studying.

Hobbies are topics that we should look for and study and spend time working on.

Why?

A hobby is also a form of learning.

It's just that hobbies are not utilitarianly judged by criteria such as scores, so we don't think it's important.

In fact, hobbies are very important, even more important than the number of points in the test.

Because test scores can only indicate your position in the test-taking system, but they do not represent what a person can live in a lifetime.

Hobbies determine a person's mental state and quality of life to a certain extent, because it is a person's spiritual support, but also an outlet for a person's emotions, and it may also be a person's rice bowl for eating.

In other words, a person may not be interested in studying for exams and will do his best to do well in his studies, but he will definitely maintain a passion for what he is interested in, and will invest time and energy to explore and even innovate for what he is interested in.

This is one of the important reasons why many people can make achievements in things that they are interested in.

Because they truly love and are willing to give everything for their love, even if they encounter many difficulties in the process of pursuing their love, they will not give up, but will rise to the occasion until they succeed.

It's like Edison, who everyone is particularly familiar with.

He just likes to invent and create, so he will forget to sleep and eat in order to invent such a great thing as the light bulb.

This dedication wants to make his career fame and fortune reap.

It's the same with our children.

If we find that our child has an interest, parents should be happy for them and actively try to support them.

At least that's what I think, and I will use a variety of ways to support children in developing their own interests.

For example, my daughter is very fond of drawing. Then I'll enroll her in a drawing class.

Even if many people say that painting depends on talent, if a child has talent, he can create at home at any time, and he doesn't need to spend money to learn at all.

Some people will also say that if you spend money to enroll in classes, not only is it a waste of money, but your child's creativity and imagination may also be buried under the guidance of teachers with limited skills.

Or tell you that the future is the era of AI. Drawing will be replaced by AI......

In short, there are a lot of sounds.

But if the child likes it and is willing to learn the techniques from the teacher, and then construct his own painting world according to his own ideas when the foundation is solid, then as a parent, I should try to create conditions to help the child achieve his goals.

This goal is only about whether I am happy or not, whether I am willing or not, and has nothing to do with utilitarianism, so no matter how it develops in the future, and no matter what others say, as long as the child really likes it, then I will meet it if the conditions allow. If the conditions don't allow it, then I will also find a way to help the child achieve it.

This condition includes money, time, etc.

In fact, not everyone can find their own hobbies.

How lucky it is to find a hobby and to be able to gain understanding, support and development.

I wish my child was the lucky one. I also hope that more children and even adults can get lucky and become the happiest version of themselves.
