兔肉與一般畜肉的成分有所不同,其特點是含蛋白質較多,每百克兔肉中含蛋白質21.5克;含脂肪少,每百克僅含脂肪0.4克;含有豐富的卵磷脂;含膽固醇較少,每百克含膽固醇只有83毫克。由於兔肉含蛋白質較多,營養價值較高,含脂肪較少,因此是胖人比較理想的肉食。
