IT House reported on 10 on 0 that the HBO TV series "The Last of Us" (The Last of Us) will not end in the second season. Just a few days before the premiere of the second season,HBO has announced a third season renewal.
IT House previously reported that the second season of the show will continue the second plot of the game series, but it is not fully presented. Co-creator Craig Messing has said that The Last of Us 2 has a rich story that needs to be fully unfolded over multiple quarters. As a result, the second season will have slightly fewer episodes than the first season, with a total of seven episodes.
Set five years after the end of the first season, viewers will see a number of new characters joined, most notably Kaitlyn Dever's Abby and Isabella Morced's Dina, who played key roles in the game's second installment.
HBO executives are confident in the accomplishments of the second season. Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President, said the second quarter showcased the excellence of the creative team, cast and production staff. She looks forward to a third season that continues the wonderful narrative of Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. At the moment, the jury is still out on whether the third season will be the final chapter of the series.
