Citizens are seriously watching the exhibition.
Fuzhou Evening News Yesterday, the "Roots, Endless" Zhang Wei Root Carving Art Exhibition opened at the Daguan Art Museum in the Yantai Mountain Historical and Cultural District located in Cangshan District, showing the unique artistic charm of root carving to the public. The exhibition is free until 30 days.
The root carving works on display are different in form and lifelike, which is breathtaking. The reporter learned that this exhibition exhibited more than 30 of Zhang Wei's representative works in recent years, which were divided into three theme exhibition areas: "Roots of Nature", "Charm of Humanity" and "Life Force".
Each exhibit embodies the artist's deep thinking about nature and life. For example, "Phoenix" is based on the roots of trees, highlighting the natural momentum of the roots through minimalist carving; "Endless Life" symbolizes the continuity and tenacity of life in an intertwined form.
It is worth mentioning that during the exhibition, there will also be two themed activities: the artist's creation sharing session and the audience's interactive experience workshop. Participants can touch the wood material with their own hands and complete small root carving works under the guidance of the artist.
