Speaking to Sky Sports, Slott spoke after Liverpool's 3-0 defeat at Fulham in the Premier League round 0 tie this evening.

Slot said: "That 14 minutes (three goals conceded) was a really difficult moment, apart from Fulham's quality and shots, mainly because of our mistakes. ”

'We haven't made too many of those mistakes all season, let alone three in a game, and we were much better in the second half, but at this level of play if you concede three goals in the first half, it's very difficult to win.

'Unfortunately we didn't have time to score the third goal at the end and people wanted to make up stories, that's their job, a lot of teams felt it was difficult against Fulham, we had a great second half and we had chances but in the end we didn't have time.
