4月3日，鐵路清明小長假運輸啟動，將持續至4月7日。5天時間里，長三角鐵路預計發送旅客1760萬人次，同比增長6.8%。其中，客流最高峰日為清明節當天（4月4日），當天長三角鐵路旅客發送量有望突破390萬人次，創單日客發量新高。

4月3日當天，長三角鐵路計劃增開旅客列車240列，對450列動車組列車進行重聯運行，預計發送旅客310萬人次。
