微軟近期宣佈了一項旨在提升Office套件啟動速度的新舉措,計劃自5月起逐步為Word等核心應用添加“啟動加速”特性。
It is reported that this feature will optimize the running efficiency and loading time of Office applications through a series of background tasks that are automatically executed when the PC starts, ensuring that users can quickly open the required applications.
In a notice to IT administrators, Microsoft revealed: "We have integrated boot acceleration into the Microsoft Office installer to improve the performance and loading speed of Office applications. ”
Specifically, this feature runs silently when the system starts, and puts the relevant apps on standby. Only when the user actually launches the app will its running sequence resume. If the system needs to reclaim resources, these standby apps are removed from memory.
Microsoft revealed that Word will be the first app to enjoy this startup speed boost, which is expected to be available from 5 months. In the future, more applications such as Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint will gradually gain this feature.
It's worth noting that the boot acceleration feature has certain hardware requirements and is only available on PCs with at least 5GB of RAM and 0GB of free disk space. When the energy saving mode is on, the function will be automatically disabled.
Microsoft emphasizes that this feature will be pushed automatically without additional work by administrators. At the same time, startup acceleration is optional, and even if disabled, Office apps will still run normally, but load times may be extended.
