A Year of Minimalist Living: Revealing My "Don't Buy List", Saving Money Starts with Rejection
Updated on: 12-0-0 0:0:0

In the past, when I went shopping, I always liked to buy something cheap and useless, and if I didn't buy anything, I felt that this street was lonely, so I just couldn't go home empty-handed, and I felt like the money was going to catch fire in my wallet and run out.

But after I bought these things home, I found that I really spent a lot of money when I cleaned them up, and the key is that these things are really useless. After practicing a minimalist life, I realized how unjust the money I spent was.

I am sharing with you today a "Don't Buy List" to help you avoid the trap of spending, keep your wallet tight, and spend your money where it is truly valuable and needed.

1. Reduce hoarding and save more

I used to always like to buy all kinds of dolls, keychains, and blind boxes, but after minimalism, I found that these things were really useless, and they could only be eaten at home. All kinds of consumer festivals like to hoard daily necessities, now not much hoarding, the family pile up like a hill, but also have to bother to store reasonably, enough is good, after using up and then buy.

And before, I liked to hoard cosmetics and various moisturizing masks, but now it seems that they are all IQ taxes. There is only one face, not a trial field, and using too much cosmetics will make our skin worse. Do more exercise, stay up less late, and maintain good living habits,

It's better than any kind of cosmetics. There are also household items, bed sheets and quilt covers, and 3 sets are enough to change and wash, you don't need to try any style or fabric, less hoarding, more savings, money for things is easy, things can't be exchanged for money!

2. Don't buy too many clothes

When I was young, my grandmother told my mother not to buy too many clothes for the children, because my mother just likes to dress me up, and at that time, I couldn't understand what my grandmother said. Now that I think about it, isn't the daily life of people in the previous life the minimalist life we pursued? Now I can also deeply understand what my grandmother said.

Too many clothes, shoes, bags, in addition to costing money, can't be worn, life also brings us a lot of trouble, hard work to match, waste time, but also spend a lot of time tidying up, all day long put your mind on what to wear, no use at all,

We're not models. So as long as the clothes are enough, pay attention to quality rather than quantity, I will never waste all my money on buying so many clothes, anything more, it's all trouble!

3. Don't buy too much food

As soon as I arrived at the supermarket, I couldn't help it, I always bought a lot of fruits and vegetables, but I was afraid that I wouldn't eat enough, but often the truth was very slap in the face, we couldn't eat it all, either expired or not fresh. I have to say that this behavior is really wasteful,

If my grandmother could see it, she would have jumped out of the coffin and killed me! In other words, the current market and supermarkets are everywhere, when you need it, when you go to buy a little back, and buy it after eating, not only fresh but also not wasteful, why be so greedy!

4. Don't order takeout or snacks

I suddenly found that I haven't ordered takeout for a long time, although takeout is convenient, but it is expensive, so expensive! And it's also high in oil and sugar, which is very unhealthy. Or cook at home

There's no fireworks, and if there are children at home, they can't eat takeout every day, and no parent can bear to let their children eat takeout every day.

I have to cook for my own children. After learning to read the ingredient list, I rarely eat snacks, the kind of snacks that can't be written in a few lines, really don't eat anymore, you can eat some nuts and fruits when your mouth is hungry, seasonal fruits are more affordable, and the taste is sweeter.

5. Don't buy too many toys for your child

I believe that many families with children, the most important thing in the house must be children's toys. Some parents think that toys help their children's intellectual development, so they buy a lot of toys for their children.

And some parents, like me, were poor in material when they were children, they didn't have a lot of toys, and they lacked psychology, and they wanted to make up for their inner lack by playing with toys for their children.

But is it true that more toys for children are better? Expert studies have proven that reading toys bought for children can make children become dumber and dumber. So, let's not really buy too many toys for children for the sake of children.

Summary:

The changes that minimalist life brings are amazing. This "no-buy list" is the precipitation of experience and a re-examination of consumption. I hope that partners can get inspiration from it, consume rationally, and embrace minimalism. Let us find true satisfaction in not buying, write beauty with simplicity, and welcome the future of abundance with simplicity.
