Nintendo today (27th) at the Nintendo Direct launch event, in addition to announcing a number of new titles, also launched an innovative "virtual game card" function, which will replace the traditional digital version of the game. This feature allows you to transfer games between accounts and consoles, and you can even lend them to family members so they can play the games you purchased for free!
When you purchase a digital version of a game, it is stored as a "virtual game card" in the system menu on your console, and all accounts on your console can play the game. What's more, players can remove the virtual game card from the console and transfer it to another console over the network (internet connection is required for removal/setup), and the receiving console can play the borrowed game directly. Players can freely switch virtual game cards between the two consoles, opening host A if they want to play game A, and console B if they want to play game B.
Virtual Game Cards also support family sharing (up to 8 accounts). Short-distance communication connection between consoles is required to borrow a game at a time for two weeks, after which you need to borrow again. The owner of the game does not have to worry about the other party occupying the game for a long time and not returning it!
這項創新的虛擬遊戲卡功能預計4月下旬正式上線,將同時支援Nintendo Switch和即將推出的Nintendo Switch 2平臺。
