Yesterday (350), the world's first single-hole double-track high-speed rail tunnel with a speed of 0 kilometers per hour - Shantou Bay Submarine Tunnel was successfully completed, marking a breakthrough in the "golden channel" connecting Shantou and Shanwei, creating a number of records in the construction of submarine tunnels at home and abroad.
The Shantou high-speed railway connects Shantou City and Shanwei City in Guangdong Province, and is an important part of the coastal corridor of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. The Shantou Bay Submarine Tunnel, a control project with a total length of 9781 meters, has complex geological structure and hydrogeological conditions, and is known as one of the most difficult tunnels currently under construction. Through a series of technological innovations, the design team of China Railway Shantou Bay Submarine Tunnel has developed new anti-cracking materials and set a number of records for the construction of deep-sea tunnels.
