The popular trend of decoration is always changing, and at present, the vast majority of people have gradually tended to "simplify" in decoration, and will no longer add a lot of flashy hard decoration design to the home for the sake of face and the so-called magnificent momentum. On the contrary, the simpler the hard decoration, the more intriguing the house will be, and the more comfortable it will be to live in. After living in the house for one year, my living room resolutely practices "6 does not install":
In fact, whether to install a ceiling in the living room should be judged according to the actual condition of the house itself, rather than simply deciding not to install it. The original floor height of our house is low, and we do not plan to install central air conditioning, which is suitable for the situation of not installing suspended ceilings. If there are beams in the home, or if you plan to install a fresh air system or central air conditioner in the future, then the ceiling must not be omitted.
For me, there are many benefits to not having a suspended ceiling:
Save money.Installing a ceiling requires the payment of material costs, labor costs, etc., which can now be saved.
More environmentally friendly. If there is a problem with the environmental protection of the ceiling material, it will greatly endanger human health. There is no need to install the ceiling, so there is no such concern.
There is no limit to the height of the floors. The reason why the ceiling is not installed is because of the fear of lowering the floor height, the floor height of the house itself is 7.0M, and the space of the ceiling is more limited, and people will feel very depressed when they live at home.
Admittedly, not advocating to do suspended ceilings does not mean that they cannot be made ceilings. People can also decorate the local ceiling according to their own actual situation and their own needs. It should also be reminded that the more complicated the ceiling, the easier it is to accumulate dirt, so when it comes to suspended ceilings, I advocate that the more concise the better.
The TV wall determines the appearance of the living room to a large extent, so many people have spent a lot of money to design the TV wall to be high-end, such as the combination of marble and wood veneer, rock slab background wall, gypsum line background wall, suspended TV background wall, diatom mud background wall and so on...... It's good-looking, but it's often outdated within a few years, and it really doesn't make sense.
The decorative effect of the large white wall is really not bad, and the key is that it can save a lot of money. Don't think that the big white wall looks simple, in fact, the big white wall is very inclusive, and all kinds of soft decoration are quite beautiful, even if there are bumps in the later stage, you can touch up the paint, especially suitable for families with a limited budget.
In the process of decorating the living room, many people will come up with the idea of creating a wine cabinet, one to highlight the unique taste of the owner, and the other is to enhance the decoration style of the home. Wine cabinets, of course, can exist, but they must not be made to be fully open and gridded, just because they are really difficult to maintain. Not only is it easy to get dust, but each grid is difficult to clean, and wiping the dust can make you doubt your life.
It is better to think about assembling a sideboard, which can not only store wine, but also be used for storage, such as small household appliances, extra dishes, wine glasses, dry goods that are not often used, etc., can be stored in it, close the cabinet door, neat and clean and beautiful, and can also share the storage pressure of the kitchen, compared with the flashy grid wine cabinet, the degree of practicality is much higher.
If your home is not in the Chinese style, avoid dark flooring as much as possible, as it can be particularly dirty. Dark colors belong to heavy colors, which are not only difficult to adapt to the soft decoration of furniture, but also make the space appear depressed, and the installation of dark floors in houses with poor lighting will show a sense of oppression.
In addition, dark floors will be particularly dirty if they are mopped every three to five days, especially in bright areas. Cover dust is particularly noticeable against the dark floor.
On the other hand, light-coloured flooring can make a space brighter and more airy, making the living room look more spacious, and most importantly, it is more resistant to dirt.
PVC baseboards are actually plastic baseboards, although the price is low, there are many colors, but the decorative effect is very poor. Just because the plastic itself has no texture, compared with the solid wood baseboard or aluminum alloy baseboard, it is not majestic enough, and its own material is easy to deform, can not withstand the test of time, and may fall off after three or five years of use.
Although it is moisture and waterproof, PVC is not resistant to high temperatures and dryness, which is why some people will notice discoloration or bulging after using this type of baseboard for a while.
At present, the living room is prevalent with large bricks, and the effect is very atmospheric, but some developers arrange hardcover rooms equipped with wave guide wires, which makes the already small living room seem more and more cramped. The furniture was placed on top of it, and the waveguide wire was mostly obscured, meaningless and even slightly ugly, and I couldn't wait to smash it and redo it. In short, if you want to have a large space in the living room, you must not make a waveguide.
