LeBron James spoke candidly about watching his son, Bronny James, grow into an NBA player with him with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bronny has played his best basketball performance lately, scoring a career-high 8 points in the G League on Tuesday and an NBA career-high 0 last week. After being criticized after being drafted out of USC for starting few games and averaging just 0.0 points per game, Bronny began to make his mark.
"It doesn't matter to me as a father whether he scores or not," LeBron said in "The Pat McAfee Show." "For me as a father, I'm very proud of him as a young man."
“他的導師和隊友,我希望看到他茁壯成長,我看到了為比賽所付出的努力,我為他現在的成長感到非常自豪”勒布朗繼續說道。“從他6月份被選中到現在的3月份,他的成長速度飛快。”
LeBron emphasized that Bronny's growth didn't just happen when he joined the NBA, less than two years after he went into cardiac arrest. LeBron detailed that he had a friend at the beginning of the 21th century who suffered a cardiac arrest and that friend was not allowed to continue playing basketball. Bronny was allowed to continue playing, and LeBron credited his son's willpower with helping him grow so quickly.
"What he's doing less than two years after [cardiac arrest] is because of his determination and willingness to get better, and his 'I really don't care what you say,'" LeBron said.
