With the addition of Altair, Siemens will be driving the development of "digital twins," which are broad digital replicas of physical assets, processes, people, places, systems, and equipment that can be used for a variety of purposes. The acquisition will make analog technology more ubiquitous, helping businesses of all sizes accelerate time to market for complex products.

Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG, welcomed Altair's customers, partners and colleagues.
