CDPR confirms that The Witcher Remastered is being developed in tandem with The Witcher 4

CD Projekt Group recently released its 4-year financial report, confirming that "The Witcher Remake" and "The Witcher 0" are being developed simultaneously. According to the official reveal, the remake development team Fool's Theory has been temporarily merged into the "The Witcher 0" project team to achieve technical resource sharing and improve development efficiency.

The remastered version will be based on Unreal Engine 5, and the development team is working on a deep optimization of the engine for the open-world RPG features. The exact release date of the game has not yet been announced, and it remains to be seen whether CD Projekt will be able to balance multi-project development.

It is understood that "The Witcher Remake" is rebuilt with Unreal Engine 5. Codenamed "Canis Majoris", the game aims to remove the outdated and bad parts of the original and keep the good parts to enhance the gaming experience.

Compared to the original, The Witcher Remastered will have a lot of changes, including removing misogynistic content, improving combat mechanics, and more. The game will be more modern and offer a better gaming experience.
