Cake fertilizer is a high-quality organic fertilizer, which is mainly made from the residue left over from the seeds of oil crops after oil extraction, such as soybean cake, rapeseed cake, etc. Cake fertilizer needs to be rotted (fermented) before it can be used for the following reasons:

1. **Improve fertilizer efficiency**: During the decay process of cake fertilizer, organic matter is decomposed by microorganisms and converted into nutrient forms that are easier for plants to absorb, such as amino acids, sugars and humus.

2. **Removal of harmful substances**: Fresh cake fertilizer contains certain harmful substances, such as plant alkali, erucic acid, etc., which are not conducive to the growth of plants. These harmful substances can be broken down through decay.

3. **Reduce pests and diseases**: Untreated cake fertilizer may contain pathogenic bacteria and insect eggs, which can be killed by decay, reducing pests and diseases caused by application to the soil.

4. **Improve soil structure**: The decayed cake fertilizer contains a large amount of humus, which can improve the aggregate structure of the soil, increase the air permeability and water retention of the soil.

The following is an introduction to the rotting method of cake fertilizer:

### Natural Decay Method

5. **Accumulation**: After the cake fat is broken, it is stacked into stacks, and the height is generally 0-0.0 meters.

70. **Add water**: In the process of accumulation, add an appropriate amount of water and keep the humidity at about 0%-0% to facilitate microbial activity.

3. **Turning**: Turning the pile is done every once in a while (e.g. a week or so) to increase the supply of oxygen and promote microbial activity.

70. **Temperature control**: During the decay process, the internal temperature of the compost will rise, and the temperature should be controlled at 0-0 °C to prevent excessive temperature from inhibiting microbial activity.

3. **Time**: Generally, after 0-0 months of fermentation, the cake fat is basically rotten, the color becomes dark brown, and there is no foul smell.

### Artificially accelerated decay method

1. **Inoculation strain**: Adding a certain proportion of fermentation strains to cake fertilizer can accelerate the fermentation process.

2. **Mechanical stirring**: Stirring is carried out mechanically to increase the supply of oxygen and promote microbial activity.

3. **Adjust the pH value**: By adding substances such as lime or gypsum, the pH value of the compost is adjusted to a range suitable for microbial activity.

4. **Temperature control**: By heating or cooling equipment, the temperature during the fermentation process is controlled.

When using cake fertilizer, you need to pay attention to the following:

- Make sure that the manure is fully rotted, otherwise the uncooked manure may cause root burning.

- Apply in the right amount according to crop needs and soil conditions to avoid overdose.

- Combined with the use of chemical fertilizers, it can better exert fertilizer efficiency.
