虎撲03月25日訊 英格蘭代表隊主教練湯瑪斯-圖赫爾出席3-0戰勝拉脫維亞的世預賽賽后發佈會。
Why are you a little frustrated during the game?
That's normal as a manager. You see the opportunity and the players don't. I don't think we took the opportunity to take advantage of their chaos and it was Kane and his team-mates who came close to combining together.
For a few short seconds, you get frustrated and then give the players a boost again.
I need to understand their behaviour and what they like to do without the ball. It's not a question of winning – everybody wants to win – you have to put in a lot of effort. xG doesn't come on its own, you need to see that any offense takes effort.
Are you a little surprised by Latvia's performance?
I think the second goal gave us a better mentality, more freedom.
Everything else is predictable, we're playing in the World Qualifiers and we're always hoping to win. If the score is 0-0, anything can happen. Bellingham's situation reminds us that everything can be reversed straight (referring to his foul), red cards, yellow cards, everything can change.
I'm happy with the attitude of the substitutes, good games, I'm always a little bit nervous.
Do you think Bellingham's foul deserves a card?
I think I was wronged by the first yellow card, Bellingham was honestly dribbling the ball, but the Latvian player rushed up to foul him, but he received a yellow card.
I was also quite surprised in the first half because we had a yellow card, and Latvia didn't have a single yellow card.
The second foul is possible, and if it is blown, it will definitely be bad for England, and the whole trend of the game may be completely reversed. So we chose to just take him off and have other players ready.
I think he showed his fighting spirit and his ideas in both games, I don't know if my observation is right, but he is actually quite tired. So it's not just fouls, he's getting better and better, but I don't want to take risks and I want to give him a break.
