Hello guys, I'm Kafka's Knock Cona, a budding indie game developer. Today, I would like to introduce to you my first small-scale free Sokoban game - Minimalist Box.

About the developers

I'm all responsible for this small game, and since I'm a programmer, I'm using free stock footage for art and music. I don't have a lot of experience with the program, so I'm going to make a small game first to gain experience.

About this game:

The main gameplay of this game is Sokoban, and I have micro-innovated it

The game is divided into four themes (temporary): Classic, Double-Sided, Gravity, and Ice.

  1. Classic: The classic theme does not add any mechanics, and it is the purest Sokoban game, and everyone can enjoy the purest Sokoban fun in the carefully set 24 levels
  2. Double-sided: In the double-sided theme, each level has two different colored chests, each with a different chest that can only go to the corresponding end, and the player can plan the path of each box among the many routes to ensure that they reach the end
  3. Gravitation: In the gravitational theme, new chests appear in pairs, gravitational boxes. These chests can attract each other, and each time the player moves one of them, the path of the other chest may change. This kind of interaction between boxes increases the strategic. Of course, players can also use gravity to solve seemingly unsolvable levels.
  4. Ice surface (to be developed later): The box will slide until it encounters an obstacle when it encounters an ice surface. (Do you feel familiar with the box oil).

Of course, there may already be a corresponding game on the market. (For example, the ice theme, I have played 1999 and the Two Shadows Wonderland). But I still think that fun level design can give players a different experience.

Challenges about the game

The game has an archive of the number of steps for each level, which is convenient for players to check the number of steps they have taken in each level, and it is also convenient for players to challenge to find the best solution to the level and clear the level with the least number of steps!

I'm also working on developing a Steam leaderboard to make it easier for players to challenge the leaderboard (which may not be possible)

Finally, we look forward to your attention.
